  • 150 g dried cranberries
  • 100 g white chocolate

Break the cookies inte pieces and put in a bowl. Add popcorn, cranberries and chocolate eggs. Melt the white chocolate. Add the melted white chocolate into the bowl and stir thoroughly.

Shrink Shrank Shrunk

When I went to my local craft store the other day , one of the ladies there asked me if I had ever tried shrink plastic . No , I had not . Did I want to ? Well , yes of course! This resulted in a whole bunch of bunny rabbits (and some flowers ). The white bunnies ended up on my spring wreath , and I am sure I will be able to find a purpose for the black bunnies too!

How it works:
Draw whatever you want on the shrink plastic. The shrink plastic I used had one shiny and one matte side and I used the matte side to draw on. I used ProMarker pens, but you can use pretty much any pens you like.

Cut out your drawing.

Heat the image with an embossing heat tool. The image will shrink and wrinkle and look generally awkward. Keep heating and the image will straighten itself out as the same time as it becomes much smaller and thicker. (The plastic can also be heated in the oven, see wrapping for instructions). Put some pressure on straight away, for example a heavy book. Done!

Cupcake kittens

Super easy chocolate cupcakes, see recipe below. I used cupcake cat wrappers from Mr Printables to make my cupcakes extra sweet!

 Cupcakes

50 g butter
3 eggs
2 dl caster sugar
1 dl milk
4 dl all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
100 g dark chocolate, chopped

Pre-heat the oven to 180°C and line a 12-hole muffin tin with muffin cases. Melt the
butter. Whip egg and sugar together until white and thick. Add milk and the melted butter. Mix flour, baking powder and vanilla extract together and add to the mixture. Finally add the chopped chocolate.
Spoon the mixture into the muffin cases. Bake in the oven for approximately 20 min. Let cool.

Frosting

150 g butter, softened
200 g icing sugar
1/2 dl cocoa powder
1-2 tbsp milk

Beat the butter in a bowl until soft. Add half the icing sugar. Beat until the mixture is smooth. Add the rest of the icing sugar and continue to beat. Add the cocoa powder and the milk and beat some more! Put the frosting is a piping bag with a star nozzle. Swirl on top of the muffins.

One pen can do...

...great difference on plain porcelain! I pick up second hand things at the red cross shop. Charity for people in need, and so much fun for me!

Plastic animal makeover #2

Went out and took some photos in the nearby forest. Pictures framed, and these little creatures did not even require a makeover, they just needed somewhere to live. Come springtime, the pictures will be changed for greener ones!

Another "moppe"...

While I was at it I made a blue one too, with another wallpaper from PiP Studio. Had enough wallpaper for two "Kassett" magazine files as well!

Valentines gift for my hubby

I do think I was being quite clever here..!

Labels made in the app PicLab HD, which is really useful for such things.

Plastic animal makeover #1

Old plastic toy animals, easily painted and glued onto the lid (which is painted in the same colour) of an ordinary glass jar. Rather cute I think!

"Moppe" - the mrs Gillmore way

I find Ikea´s ”Moppe” very convenient to store all my bits and pieces in (and I have a lot of them). It is rather dull when new, obviously the designer was hoping for creative owners. Luckily wallpaper can do wonders, not just on walls. I chose to decorate this one with a wallpaper from PiP Studio and some handles purchased at ebay for not very many pennies.

Mrs Gillmore´s magnificent lemon and olive body scrub

I was trying to decide what to bring the hostess of this weekends dinner party. In the end I decided to go for a home made body scrub, which turned out to be the easiest thing to make! Containing lemon and olive oil it is both refreshing and softening. And it only contains three ingredients;

3 dl white sugar
2 tbsp olive oli
The zest from 1 lemon + 1 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice

Put the ingredients in a bowl and stir them all together. Store in a sealed jar.

Super easy and super fresh! No doubt this gift will be appreciated!

Happy scrubbing!
